Ribbon Cutting Held for Natural Gas Fueling Stations

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on December 8, 2011 at a CNG Blue Diamond facility in Mt. Arlington, NJ. This project comprised of two (2) 250 HP gas compressors, one (1) 10,815 scf @ 5,500 psi gas storage tank, two (2) natural gas fueling dispensers, and forty (40) time-fill natural gas fueling posts. Blue Diamond Disposal has 100 trucks and 5,000 containers, and it serves more than 200,000 residential and commercial customers in Morris County.

For the past three years, LAN Associates has been assisting Clean Energy Fuels by providing civil/site survey engineering design, MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) design review services, and representation before planning boards for more than five sites in NJ and NY.

CNG costs 25% to 40% less than diesel fuel. Natural gas engines also run more cleanly than diesel engines, emitting less particulate matter and harmful emissions into the environment. CNG vehicles also have lower operating and maintenance costs and clients can obtain fixed-price, multi-year natural gas fueling contracts from NJ Natural Gas (for clients in NJ) or third party suppliers. The domestic supply outlook and favorable price of natural gas makes it an attractive option for many clients.
